Privacy
What this site
does and doesn’t collect.
Social Barber Society (socialbarber.co) is a static website for a barber shop at 1897 E Big Beaver Rd, Suite 48, Troy, MI 48083. It has no accounts, no forms, and no checkout. Booking happens on Booksy, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy. This page describes what this site itself does. Last updated 11 September 2026.
Analytics
The site uses two third-party analytics tools to understand how it’s used and to improve it:
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) records page views and basic interactions such as clicks on the booking button. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise a returning visit. Google’s policies: privacy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) records how visitors use the site — page views, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — in the form of heatmaps and anonymised session recordings. Text you type is masked and it does not record anything on Booksy. Clarity sets cookies and may use the data to improve its own products and, per Microsoft, for advertising. Microsoft’s privacy statement. Clarity loads a couple of seconds after the page does.
Fonts
The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google’s note on Fonts and privacy.
Links to other services
Buttons and links take you to Booksy (booking), Instagram, and Google Maps. Once you’re there, their policies apply, not this one. We don’t receive any personal data back from them about you.
Cookies and opting out
The only cookies this site sets are the ones GA4 and Clarity set. Blocking them in your browser, or with a content blocker, doesn’t affect anything on the site. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Analytics, and Clarity honours “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs requests (IP address, user agent, pages fetched) for operational purposes under GitHub’s privacy statement.
Questions
Message @Barber_mario_313 on Instagram or through Booksy. If you’d like anything about your visit removed from the analytics tools, say so and we’ll ask them to delete it.
